Immersed in the memories of a breathtaking sunset during my journey to Kauai, Hawaii, the inspiration for this illustration was born. I can still recall the soothing touch of the cool breeze and the sound of gentle ocean waves. It was a rare moment of peace where I could truly let go and unwind with my friends. During a brief island tour, we were introduced to the lore of Nāmaka, the sea goddess in Hawaiian mythology. This newfound knowledge served as a catalyst, igniting my imagination to bring forth the image of a woman formed from the very essence of water itself.
