I crafted this image during and after a delightful two-week adventure in Tokyo and Kyoto. Being immersed in the captivating art and rich culture of the cities inspired me to create this piece. It's a fresh take on the timeless tale of The Dragon Gate, where a carp defies the current and leaps over the falls to become a majestic dragon. The illustration portrays an exciting competition, with each fish striving to reach the mythical dragon's grasp, longing to be touched by gold and transform into a dragon themselves. Despite the jam-packed trip, I managed to work on a significant portion of this artwork during moments of repose.
